Bring Gotham into the picture

I want a DCU Batman movie. A real chance to establish this version of Bruce, his city, and the people around him. I want Gotham to feel like a place with its own history and personality, rather than a collection of dark rooftops between action scenes.

Let him be Batman

For me, the appeal is the whole combination: detective, strategist, fighter, and a man whose life is shaped by what happened to him. I’d like a mystery that makes his intelligence visible. Show me how he notices something everyone else misses. Let the audience follow the reasoning instead of simply being told he’s brilliant.

Cast for the character

A famous name isn’t my starting point. I care more about whether the actor has the presence for Bruce and the physical credibility for Batman. Someone less obvious could make the role feel fresh. A fan cast is fun to discuss; it isn’t evidence that a casting decision has happened.

A universe, not a homework assignment

I want this Batman to feel as though he can stand beside Superman and other DC heroes. But his first movie should work as a story in its own right. Establish a strong character, a compelling Gotham, and a reason to come back. Connections should add excitement, not replace a satisfying ending.
